Enablement of certain security settings, blacklisting of apps within specific time frame in AMGuard® is called as time-fencing. In short, enabling customized policy for certain time duration is nothing but time-fencing.
This article explains the procedure to enable time-fencing.
- Login to AMGuard® console
- From left menu, click on "Policy Groups" tab
- By default you will notice default policies as per selection during sign-up
- Select the policy to which you want to enable time-fencing
- Once the policy is selected, in the policy details scroll down to find "Time Fencing"
- By default it is disabled
- To enable click on the toggle button
- Once enabled, you will notice certain security options along with apps that were added in App Management section.
- Apps under time-fence include private, play store, system & pro (AMCloud, AMTalk) applications
- By default 9:00 to 18:00 time is shown
- Configure time, security policies as per need.
- To restrict users from accessing specific apps, enable them by clicking box
- Once time-fence policy is configured, click on "SAVE AND CONTINUE" button to impose the policy on to devices.
- As and when devices get the policy, AMGuard® checks device time and applies the policy.
