Passwords are the most common way to prove your identity. Passwords are to ensure the security and confidentiality of data that is stored on the device. In this section, you have a wide variety of password options to set as per the admin preferences.

Now let’s get started, here in this section. We will help you how to configure your password requirements

  • Password Quality (Select the default permission level from the available dropdown. For example, ALPHABETIC, ALPHANUMERIC, or SOMETHING)
  • Maximum Password Expiration (You can set the password Expiration timeout. For example, A duration in seconds with up to nine fractional digits, terminated by 's'. Example: "3.5s")
  • Maximum Failed Password for Wipe (A device will be wiped after too many incorrect device-unlock passwords have been entered. A value of 0 means there is no restriction)
  • Password History Length (The length of the password history. After setting this, the user will not be able to enter a new password that is the same as any password in the history. A value of 0 means there is no restriction)
  • Minimum Length (The minimum allowed password length. A value of 0 means there is no restriction. Only enforced when password quality is NUMERIC, NUMERIC_COMPLEX, ALPHABETIC, ALPHANUMERIC, or COMPLEX)
