Does your fleet get ticketed for mobile use to check the messages while driving on a job ? Avoid reading of incoming message/s from the phone and instead have your fleet listen to it. AMGuard introduces "Message Speak Out" functionality bundled with AMTalk - a pro application, which comes bundled with AMGuard enterprise accounts. Making your fleet's life easy, AMTalk reads out incoming messages loudly in the language preferred by the user, irrespective of the language in which the message was sent. For example, the sender could have sent messages in English, the user can have the message speak out language in Spanish. Its cheaper than you think and safer as well.

Let's see how make this work, since the functionality is integrated with AMTalk application, settings should be configured within AMTalk application.

Note : This functionality works across all OEMs as long as speech bundle is integrated

  • Assuming you have a device that is provisioned to Enterprise account. 
  • Notice AMCloud and AMTalk pro apps.
  • Click on AMTalk application. For the first time you will have to enable permission to receive notifications. 

  • For the first time, you wont see any messages because none have been sent to the device yet.
  • By default speak out functionality is enabled and speak out language is set to default text-to-speech language.
  • Default text-to-speech language may vary across the countries and also across OEMs. To view default settings, go to AMTalk settings by clicking on setting button


  • Language : You can select any language, incoming messages will be read out in selected language

  • Speak out messages :By default "All" incoming messages will be speak out. Below options are available in drop down.
    • All : All incoming messages
    • High : Messages only with high priority 
    • Off : No messages will be speak out

  • TTS Engine/Speak out Engine : Device bundled TTS engines which comes with the device will be listed here. User can change bundles if they looking at a specific language that is not supported by Google engine.
  • Whenever a new message received on the device from OPS, AMTalk will start reading the message with high volume irrespective to the volume set on the device.

  • The message will be read out even if AMTalk app is running in background

  • If there are list of messages, messages will be read out in sequence.
