This article explains the procedure to initiate a video call from "OPS to Device" and controls available while the video call is going on.

  • Login to AMGuard console
  • In Devices page, notice the video call button under actions column. 


  • Clicking on the video call button for a specific device will initiate video call from OPS to device. Version of AMTalk app running on the device must be 1.4.26 or higher for video call to work.
  • Also, make sure to enable Microphone and Camera permissions on the device when the app is launched for the first time.
  • The below picture depicts initiation of video call from "OPS to Device". Notice device details on top right corner of the window.

  • Device rings with a tone and front camera preview along with Answer and Decline buttons. In below picture, blackness on the display depicts device front camera is covered.

Note : Device will not receive the call if there is no network on the device.



  • Clicking on "Answer" button will establish the call. Once call is established OPS and Device user can see each other as depicted below.


  1. Device ID (IMEI or Serial#)
  2. Admin Tagged name will be shown. If there is no value given then '-' will be shown
  3. Name mentioned in settings on AMGuard app will be displayed. 
  4. Device current location is displayed. If GPS is OFF, location will not be displayed
  5. Shows location timestamp
  6. To end call, click on terminate button
  7. Mute & un-mute option for OPS
  8. OPS can disable video
  • Below picture depicts on-going call on the device with standard set of controls.

Video call controls provided on the device are, starting from top

  1. Option to switch cameras (front & back)
  2. Disable and enable video
  3. Mute & un-mute
  4. Enable/disable speaker
  • Device user can look at call logs in AMTalk application under calls tab as shown below. Logs without call duration indicates missed calls or calls disconnected by OPS before answering.
