Any Android device which is SIM enabled will have messaging application by default. In order to block that from usage, follow below steps,
- Login to AMGuard Standard portal with valid credentials
- Go to Policies page
- Notice policies list, select the policy in which you want to block SMS application and click edit on that policy, as shown below
- Scroll down to General section and find “SMS Required” option
- By default, SMS Required option is disabled, meaning users can start sending messages to other numbers
- All that you need to do is enable the option (as shown below) and save the policy
- Upon saving, notice cross mark against SMS option in policy list view as highlighted below
- After this whenever user taps on messaging application on the device, s/he will see a message stating “This app isn’t allowed by the device owner”
