Follow below steps to restrict reading data from android mobile device/tablet through USB
- Go to policies page
- Select the policy in which you want to disable the option of reading the data from android mobile device/tablet and click on edit
- In policy pop-up window, go to “Security & Permissions” tab, notice “USB FILE TRANSFER DISABLED” option
- It is in disabled state by default, which means that once the device is connected to any desktop or laptop, device internal storage data can be read.
- To restrict that, enable the option (as shown below) and save the policy
- Now when the device is connected to any desktop/laptop through USB, notice that device (mobile/tablet) will not get connected.
Note: For reference we used Android File Transfer application on desktop and noticed below message when device is connected.
