This article explains the procedure to auto launch an application on the device on boot (in general refers to device reboot, restart).
- Login to AMGuard console with your credentials
- From left navigation menu, click on "Policy Groups"
- Notice the list of default policies along with the policies you have created (if) to meet business needs.
- Choose a desired policy to enable the feature. Make a note that, this feature is available only for Kiosk & Work Managed policies
- For this article, as an example we are using "Alabama Users" group which is Kiosk policy.
- Click on policy group name to go into policy details.
- By default "General" restrictions are shown. Scroll down to "Advance"
- Notice "Enable App Launch on Boot" restriction which is disabled by default.
Note : Before adding the application to auto launch, make sure the app is available on the device. Refer to our article to know how to add custom/enterprise apps and play store apps.
- Enable the restriction and provide below details of the application to launch on device boot/reboot/restart.
- App Name
- App ID (Package Name)
- In this article, as an example, we are adding "Voice Assistant" application to auto launch on a Samsung device.
- Click "Save and Continue" to reflect the changes on device.
- Once the policy syncs with the device, application mentioned in the policy will be auto launched after device boot/reboot/restart.
