This article explains the procedure of assigning MDM profile to devices.
Assuming you have already created AMGuard RDS profile. Now let's see how to assign the same to the devices.
Pre-requisites:
- Device IMEIs are shared with Samsung for approval
- And the devices are approved and visible on KME portal
- Go to Devices and select the devices to assign profiles.
- Once selected, click on Actions and click on "Configure Devices"
- Notice pop-up as shown below. Select the profile by clicking on "Modify the MDM profile of selected devices" drop down. Once selected, click on Save.
Note: Here are the status and the description of status
- Pending — The device has been added by an unverified reseller and the IT admin hasn’t verified the reseller yet.
- Unassigned — The device has not been assigned to a profile.
- Failed to assign — The device couldn’t be assigned to a profile. Review the profile information to ensure it is correct.
- Profile assigned — A profile has been assigned to the device, but the end user hasn’t completed the enrollment process yet.
- Cancelled by user — A profile has been assigned to the device, but the end user cancelled the enrollment process.
- Failed to enroll — The device failed to enroll for reasons other than the end user cancelling the process.
- Enrolled — The device has been successfully enrolled, typically by the end user.
4. You have successfully assigned AMGuard profile to devices.
5. All that you have to do is, turn on the device and connect to Wi-Fi or mobile network, the device should automatically prompt you to install AMGuard.
